Spring is in the air! And it’s time for my monthly roundup of my favorite free things on the internet! Enjoy BFFs!
Favorite Free Program – Typeform
A couple weeks ago, I sent out a survey to my readers. (Missed it? You can take it here!) There are plenty of free survey tools out there, but I think the very best is Typeform. It’s easy and intuitive to use, and the forms look gorgeous! They’re sleek, totally professional, and you can customize them with your brand colors, fonts, and even images! Plus if you’re fancy you can use Zapier to do all sorts of techy and useful things with the data you collect!
Favorite Free Challenge – Gwen Montoya’s 7 Day Video Challenge
My girl Gwen is offering an awesome challenge this month with 7 video prompts and a whole month of support via Facebook group! Gwen is so down to earth and encouraging, she will make you feel ever-so-safe as you step out of your comfort zone and get in front of the video camera! Sign up right here!
Favorite Free Stock Photos
This month’s free stock photos all come from Pixabay! There’s a huge variety of photos, illustrations, and vectors on Pixabay, which makes it a great resource for many styles. Because of the wide variety, finding good photos can take some digging, though!
Mother’s Day is coming up, so this sweet photo could be a great one to use in your Mother’s Day promotions!
Even in 2018, it is still hard to find good stock photos that represent women in business! Especially women of color. I am loving this one!
I just want to know what this girl’s shirt says so bad!
Favorite Free Fonts
Farmer’s Market by Haynie Design Co. (Free until 5/13) – I’m just a sucker for vintage and weathered fonts! And this one is free on Creative Market this week! (So grab it before Sunday!!!)
Heilig by Khurasan – This font is so cute I can barely stand it! I feel like I need to throw a party just so I can use this on the invites.
Playfair Display by Claus Eggers Sørensen – This is the font I use for the text on my website! Like this sentence you’re reading right now is in Playfair!
Favorite Free Canva Templates
This daily printable planner. Did you know Canva had planner templates?! So cool! The best part is you can edit them before you print to totally customize it to fit your needs. I like this one because it has confetti and because it puts that most important task right at the top!
This concert/festival ticket – Planning an event this summer? You can design super fun tickets in Canva! I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the ukelele so this one’s my fave.
This moodboard template! You know I loooooove me some mood boards! I’ve been using Canva to create mood board collages for-eva (ok at least for a few years since Canva was created. But now they have super pretty templates that make it even easier! I love the layout of this one. Some of the photos used in the template are paid, but the template itself is free–just swap out the photos with your own! (P.S. If you’re not sure how to do that, my Canva Crash Course is for you!)

Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll
just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your
blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any helpful hints for beginner blog writers?
I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Hi! Oh thank you so much! Maybe someday I’ll write a post with some tips for beginning bloggers! 🙂 In the meantime, here are a few to get you started:
1. Keep a journal, notebook, or digital file with ideas handy. There are many times you’ll have way more ideas than you can keep up with… and other times you’ll think “I have nothing to write about!” (Then in those times you can go back to that idea journal!)
2. Write and write and write (or talk or make videos or whatever you like to do!) Just keep going, keep practicing, and hit publish even when things aren’t quite perfect.
3. Focus on “how can I help?” and share from the heart–the pretty branding, the SEO, and all that stuff can come later. If you share content that genuinely helps people, that will take you farther faster than any fancy blogging tricks!
